Naples Pier

Naples, Florida is known for its beautiful beaches and stunning sunsets, and one of the best places to experience both is at the Naples Pier. The Naples Pier is an iconic landmark that stretches out over the Gulf of Mexico and offers visitors stunning views of the ocean and the surrounding area.

The pier itself is a wooden structure that extends 1,000 feet out into the water. It was first built in 1888 as a freight and passenger dock for the steamships that transported goods and people to and from Naples. Over the years, the pier has undergone many changes and renovations, but it has always remained a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.

One of the main attractions of the Naples Pier is the fishing. The pier is a popular spot for both recreational and commercial fishing, and visitors can often see locals casting their lines into the water in search of snapper, grouper, and other fish. There are also several bait and tackle shops located near the pier, making it easy for visitors to get everything they need for a day of fishing.

But even if you're not interested in fishing, the Naples Pier is still worth a visit. The views of the ocean and the surrounding coastline are breathtaking, especially at sunset. There are several benches located along the pier where visitors can sit and watch the waves or take in the view of the sun sinking into the horizon.

The Naples Pier is also a great place for a leisurely stroll. Walking out to the end of the pier and back is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants located nearby where visitors can stop for a bite to eat or some souvenir shopping.
