Ride of Silence 2024

Naples Pathways Coalition, Naples Velo, Blue Zones, and Bikes for Tykes invite you to join us for the National Ride of Silence to honor cyclists who have been injured or killed while riding, to raise awareness of the importance of bicycle safety, and to ask that everyone share the road safely.

We will meet at Cambier Park (755 8th Avenue S) at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15th. Helmets are required, and we will take a slow, hour-long ride in silence downtown as we remember those we've lost or whose lives changed due to a cycling crash.

Please wear a neon yellow shirt to be visible and show that you are part of the Ride of Silence. If you don't have one, we will have neon shirts available for a donation.

There is no fee to participate in the Ride of Silence, but participants are asked to register at https://bit.ly/ROS2024. Donations to help support safety for people who bike and walk are appreciated. www.NaplesPathways.org/Donate

Release and Indemnification: This entry contains a release and indemnification which waives your legal rights. In consideration of my being granted entry to this event, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs and assigns, do hereby release and indemnify all sponsors of this event, their volunteers, employees and agents from and against all claims arising out of or resulting in any way from my traveling to, participating in, and/or returning from this event. I certify that I have a complete understanding of the many and various risks involved with participating in this event and that I expressly assume all of those risks. I acknowledge that the event activities may be quite strenuous, and I certify that to the best of my knowledge my training and health are adequate for me to safely participate. Further, I will assume and pay for my own medical and emergency expenses in the event of an accident, illness or other incapacity regardless of whether I authorized such expenses. Further, I hereby release and agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Naples Pathways Coalition, Inc., its Directors, Staff and Members, the event organizing committee, including all volunteers, participants and supporters, against all claims, damages and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or resulting in any way from my traveling to, participating in, and/or returning from this event. Such indemnification includes, but is not limited to, court costs and attorney’s fees, directly and indirectly arising from any claims, actions or proceedings brought on my behalf contrary to this release and indemnification agreement. Further, I hereby acknowledge that I have sole responsibility for my personal property during this event. I understand that this event does not take place on a closed course. Cyclists will be riding in normal traffic and must follow all traffic laws. Helmets are required and headphones are not allowed.
