The Artisan Marketplace and “Artful Expressions”

The creative talent of artisans in the Naples area is one of the most appealing characteristics of our community.  Creative spirits will come alive again this November, as the 8thh Annual Artisan Marketplace returns to the Naples Woman’s Club in downtown Naples.  Over 18 artists will present their works of art and craft for sale, offering unique items of jewelry, art, accessories, food, ceramics, and much more on November 3 and 4th from 10 AM to 4 PM.  Adding to the uniqueness of the show is the “Artful Expressions Silent Auction,” a special group of donated works of art, gifts, and experiences.   

The Silent Auction this year will include the work of at least two Fine Arts Scholarship winners who are “paying it forward” by offering original art works to help the next group of students pay for their studies in the Arts.  Photography by college bound student James LaSage and a painting by Andres Plata demonstrate the talent that abounds in Naples!

  A newcomer to the show is Alexis Barbeau, the creator of fine jewelry out of gold, silver, and gemstones. Returning artisans include Dena Lyons, Karen Swanker, Mary Limont, Tara O’Neill, Stacy Vermylen, and Martha Gill, just to name a few. There will be good things to eat as well, with offerings from Toffee Traditions and Taste of Immokalee.   Also new to the show is Words with Boards, a maker of customized cutting boards that are wonderful gifts. These are just a few of the items that will be available at the Artisan Marketplace.  Admission is free. 

 To enjoy a private tour of the artists’ booths plus the delicious and innovative cuisine of Chef Vincenzo Betulia, guests can attend the Artisan Cocktail Party on November 3rd at 5:30 PM.   The Artisan Cocktail Party will offer appetizers and a variety of beverages for the guests, as they wander through a private showing by the many artisans displaying their wares.  Tickets can be ordered online starting September 15th at https://Napleswomansclub.org and are $80 or $100 for patrons; tickets include a donation to the NWC Scholarship Fund.
