American Airlines Flights From Naples Available for Booking Beginning Dec. 2

NAPLES, Fla. — Commercial air service is returning to Naples for the first time in a quarter century as American Airlines will begin accepting bookings for nonstop flights from Naples Municipal Airport starting Dec. 2, 2026.

The new service marks the return of scheduled commercial flights to Naples Municipal Airport after a 25-year absence. American Airlines plans to operate twice-daily nonstop flights between Naples Municipal Airport (APF) and Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), providing travelers with convenient access to one of the airline's largest connecting hubs.

The route will be operated by PSA Airlines, a wholly owned regional subsidiary of American Airlines, using Bombardier CRJ700 regional jet aircraft. The twice-daily service is expected to offer both business and leisure travelers expanded access to American Airlines' extensive domestic and international network through Charlotte.

Until now, Naples Municipal Airport has been served exclusively by business aviation and private aircraft operators. The addition of scheduled commercial service represents a significant milestone for Southwest Florida, offering residents and visitors a convenient alternative to traveling through larger regional airports.

Local leaders have long viewed the return of commercial airline service as an important step in strengthening the region's transportation infrastructure while supporting tourism, business development, and the area's continued population growth.

Travelers interested in taking advantage of the new nonstop service will be able to begin booking flights starting Dec. 2. American Airlines is expected to release additional information regarding schedules, fares, and travel options as the launch date approaches.

The return of commercial flights is anticipated to enhance connectivity for Naples and surrounding communities while providing passengers with easier access to destinations across the United States and around the world through American Airlines' Charlotte hub.
