Diners can mark their calendars for this gastronomic celebration, as Osteria Capri promises an unparalleled dining experience on National Spaghetti Day. What sets this celebration apart is the meticulous use of Caputo flour imported from Italy, a secret ingredient that elevates Osteria Capri's pasta to unparalleled heights.


Chef AJ Black uses Caputo flour, devoid of any chemicals or bleaching agents. This true durum flour, made with hard wheat, is double-milled and known for its pale gold color and high gluten content. Sourced directly from the prestigious Caputo mill in Italy, this flour guarantees an authentic and traditional taste that transports diners straight to the heart of Italy with every delectable bite.


The uniqueness of Caputo flour lies in its slow and gentle grinding process, preserving the original characteristics of the Semolina grains. With more than 25 milling passages, each wheat kernel undergoes a meticulous process to become a perfect flour crystal. The blend of up to 7 or 8 different varieties of wheat grains from around the world adds layers of complexity to the flour, influenced by weather conditions, harvest, soil, and seed.


To honor National Spaghetti Day, Chef AJ has crafted two special spaghetti dishes that showcase his artistry and mastery in the pasta-making process:


  1. SPAGHETTI SCAMPI: Fresh Gulf shrimp sautéed in garlic, white wine, olive oil, and fresh chopped tomatoes.

  2. SPAGHETTI CARBONARA: A delightful combination of spaghetti, organic egg, Italian bacon, cream, Parmigiana cheese, and black pepper.


Established in 2019 by Chef AJ Black, Osteria Capri features authentic Italian cuisine with a modern, sophisticated style.
