Caring for Collier 2025 Brings Smiles, Relief, and Charitable Dental Care

Caring for Collier 2025

NAPLES, Fla. — In August, more than 40 volunteers gathered for the fourth annual Caring for Collier, a collaborative effort between Park Family & Cosmetic Dentistry (PFCD) and Neighborhood Health Clinic to provide essential dental care to low-income, working but uninsured adults in Collier County.

Founded by Dr. Mai Huynh-Le and her husband, Dr. Long Huynh, Caring for Collier offers a way for the Naples-based dental team to give back to their community. This year, volunteers performed 147 dental procedures, including root canal therapy, fillings, extractions, restorations, cleanings, and medications, all at no cost to patients. The services alone exceeded $32,000 in value. When factoring in supplies, professional dental hours, and administrative volunteer time, the total care provided approached $200,000. Since its inception, Caring for Collier has delivered more than $750,000 in dental care.

“When we started Caring for Collier, our hope was simple — to use our skills to serve our neighbors,” said Dr. Huynh-Le. “Each year, we’re humbled by the gratitude of our patients and the dedication of every volunteer who makes this day possible. This event is an extension of our core values and a reminder that even small acts of care can create a lasting impact in someone’s life. We value our long-standing partnership with Neighborhood Health Clinic and thank them for making this event possible each year.”

Keith Maples, CEO of Neighborhood Health Clinic, said, “Caring for Collier is more than a day of dental care; it’s a day of hope and healing. Behind every smile restored is a story of a neighbor who can work without pain, eat without discomfort, and face the world with renewed confidence. We are deeply grateful to Dr. Huynh-Le, Dr. Long and all of the volunteers at Park Family & Cosmetic Dentistry whose skill, compassion, and generosity turned this day into a life-changing experience for so many who have given up hope.”

Dental care is a critical component of overall health, with poor oral health linked to systemic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and respiratory issues. Access to dental care aligns with Neighborhood Health Clinic’s mission to support the whole health of the patients it serves.
