Naples, Fla. — Since 1982, La Salière has been a beacon of Italian gastronomy in Monte-Carlo, captivating locals and international visitors with its authentic cuisine and welcoming spirit. Now, after more than four decades, the renowned restaurant has opened its first U.S. location in Naples, Florida, poised to become one of the city’s premier fine dining Italian destinations — where every meal tells a story.
Rooted in a family culinary legacy that began in 1720 with La Sibilla restaurant in Tivoli, Italy, La Salière first opened its doors in Monte-Carlo’s Fontvieille district. The neighborhood, known for streets named after Renaissance masters like Giotto, Michelangelo and Botticelli, helped shape the restaurant’s artistic identity. From the olive tree in its logo — symbolizing peace and Mediterranean roots — to its name honoring Benvenuto Cellini’s famed salt cellar, La Salière has long blended art, heritage and cuisine into a singular dining experience.
“We are thrilled to bring the essence of Monte-Carlo to Southwest Florida,” said Chef Sabato Toscano, Executive Chef of La Salière. “Every dish at La Salière honors traditional Italian techniques while embracing the freshness and vibrancy of Florida’s coastal ingredients — a true meeting of Mediterranean inspiration and Gulf Coast flavor.”
Located in the heart of downtown Naples, the restaurant spans 2,600 square feet and seats 120 guests. The space mirrors its Monte-Carlo counterpart’s refined yet inviting atmosphere — Mediterranean elegance infused with the warmth of an Italian villa. Cascading magenta bougainvillea, soft drapes and candlelit patios set the tone for a sophisticated yet relaxed ambiance. A striking blue-tiled bar with velvet high chairs anchors the dining room, while string lights and lush greenery add touches of coastal romance.
Chef Toscano, who has led the Monte-Carlo kitchen for nearly three decades, continues to shape the Naples menu from abroad. His influence is reflected in every dish, which balances tradition with innovation. The menu features handmade pastas, wood-fired pinsa romana, fresh seafood and classic Italian entrées, with many dishes meant to be shared — a nod to the Italian tradition of gathering around the table.
Signature dishes include Polpette (handmade meatballs), Cuore Di Carciofo (artichoke with guanciale), Polipo alla Griglia (Mediterranean grilled octopus), Pappardelle, Maltagliati Veal Ragù, Ossobuco alla Milanese, Fiorentina Alla Toscana (T-bone steak) and Branzino Al Sale (Mediterranean sea bass). The restaurant also offers an extensive wine list highlighting premier Italian vineyards and signature cocktails with Mediterranean influences.
Much like its Monte-Carlo origin, La Salière Naples is more than a restaurant — it’s an experience built on connection, celebration and discovery. Every meal reflects generations of Italian hospitality and the timeless art of sharing good food.
