NAPLES, Fla. The Housing Alliance raised $35,000 during its 2nd Annual Housing Matters Luncheon held Feb. 4, 2026, at Artis—Naples, organizers announced.

The nonprofit organization, which provides information, education and advocacy to expand attainable housing solutions in Collier County, welcomed more than 85 attendees to the sold-out event.

The luncheon featured keynote speaker Jonathan Vilma, a retired NFL and college football standout turned Florida-based workforce housing developer. A Super Bowl champion and three-time Pro Bowler, Vilma played for the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets after a collegiate career with the Miami Hurricanes football. He now serves as CEO and founder of Trè Bèl Holdings, a company focused on developing workforce, mixed-income and affordable housing communities throughout Florida.

Vilma shared his personal journey from professional athlete to affordable housing advocate, outlining strategies to address Florida’s housing affordability challenges and emphasizing the need for collaboration among public and private stakeholders.

In addition to the keynote address, guests were served a catered lunch and received a year-end review of The Housing Alliance’s accomplishments, partnerships and programs. Organizers also previewed future initiatives aimed at expanding attainable housing in Collier County, including a demonstration of Housing Compass, a new online housing affordability portal scheduled to launch in 2027.

According to The Housing Alliance, the Housing Compass platform will modernize access to local housing data through a live interface and searchable tools providing updates on vacancies, income restrictions and other critical information for residents, developers, policymakers and funders.

An essential worker from Collier County also delivered a testimonial, sharing how assistance from The Housing Alliance programs helped secure stable housing.

Proceeds from the luncheon will support the organization’s ongoing efforts to increase access to attainable housing options and strengthen community partnerships across Collier County.
